Skoda Auto has introduced many new cars in the Indian market since its debut in the country. In addition the company also plans to get the greenline editions to the country comprising of superclean diesel and enhanced fuelefficient engines.
Starting with Skoda Octavia company’s first success in the Indian car market the company has received a number of appreciations and accolades. The car has won a large number of luxury car buyers because of its rugged appearance and fuelefficient diesel engine. The demand for this car is still high and so the company has plans to introduce the facelift version along with the innovative engines including the 1.4L diesel and 1.4 TSI petrol. The diesel engine will have the threecylinder pumped use engine similar to what is equipped in the present day Skoda Fabia but with higher power and torque. The petrol counterpart will use a turbo as well as a supercharger to boost engine output.
The company also has plans to introduce hot variants of Skoda Laura a sharp driving and successful Skoda car. Higher are the chances of introducing the 1.8 TSI or 2.0 TFSI engine technologies for the Laura. The 2.0 TFSI engine deliver enhanced torque power performance and fuel efficiency.
Till date the company has not disclosed any innovation or advancements for its Skoda Superb and Skoda Fabia. However the Fabia may be launched with new motors by the end of 2010.
Skoda takes India as one of the most attractive and promising car market and so the company is spreading its tentacles on the Indian soil.
